Did you watch come wiht instructions as to how to set the power reserve and date? I'm looking for instructions so I don't do anything to screw up the movement. Thanks!

RDSChicagoYou can't "set" the power reserve. That's just a measure of the stored spring energy from moving the watch around. You can manually wind it with the crown pushed in and rotating clockwise I believe, but just wearing it will do that for you. The date is via the small round indentation on the bottom left. Push on it with a bobby pin or blunt the end of a toothpick and use that. Each time you push it the date will advance 1 day.

epsilon748You forgot to mention the fact that one should avoid changing the date between roughly 6pm and 6am. Exact times differ depending on the movement. If not followed, you run the risk of damaging the date change gears while they're engaged.

RDSChicagoTo follow up on @stx_24s's point, the best way to change the date using the quickset is as follows: 1. Advance the time to roughly 6:30-7:00AM 2. Use the date quick-set button to advance the date to one day before the current date 3. Advance the time a full day until you get to the correct date/time
This should help ensure that you will not damage any gearing while advancing the date/time.
