This was just on sale last week on Seeed's website for $159 and the 2 channel version was on sale for $59. $179 is not a good sale when you can just wait a while and catch it on sale at the vendors website.

This is a toy. Spend a little more and get a usable tool! I started a poll for a usable starter Oscilloscope: https://www.massdrop.com/vote/Good-Digital-Storage-Oscilloscope

If you're looking for a real starter scope, I'd recommend shelling out a bit more for a used Rigol or buying a used analog scope for less.

mafuyuNot sure how I feel about this review... I mean yea, clearly the product is not the best thing money can buy but it seems like this guy set this poor thing up for failure... Of course something that samples at 200MHz is going to have some jitter compared to a 1GHz $400 digital oscilloscope, of course something that doesn't have a complex power delivery system is going to have some noise...
It looks pretty usable for basic stuff so long as you're not expecting to get into high freq signaling or whatever. Also, this review unit isn't the same as the one in the drop, take that with a grain of salt.
