MagicSmoke I just read the comments below. I'm canceling mine too. This is misleading, and deceptive, mass drop!! "Assembled" "unassembled" IMPLIES that they have the same damn parts, not "complete" and "unassembled and incomplete". CAVEAT EMPTOR with mass drop!!! >:-(
I'm not exactly sure how massdrop works, but the deceptive ad may have been written by seeed studios, so caveat emptor with them too!
mutzThey hold the same capacitance. The 25v one just has a higher voltage rating. I don't think that would make any difference when using it for this project so it really doesn't matter..
To be fair (at least a little) to Massdrop the page does show exactly what is included in both the assembled and unassembled versions. There's no mention of the Rainbowduino or acrylic case in the unassembled version so that shouldn't be a surprise. However, it is bull that it contains absolutely zero instructions or documentation when that is clearly listed in the included items. The hell.
ZeroThePenguinRequiring that someone who has no idea what the COMPLETE parts list in the "assembled" version could possibly be, it is absurd to consider the listed parts as fair warning. In fact, there are so many parts listed that one would be completely reasonable in assuming that ALL NECESSARY parts are included in that list!
The unassembled does not come with any sort of documentation or assembly instructions although it says it does. If you are planning on buying this get the assembled version as the unassembled one is a ripoff due to the fact that you still need to buy the chip in order to build the cube and make it work.
Who would want to buy the unassembled version if it doesn't include all the parts? I thought about buying it at first to save money and have fun assembling it. Nope. Kind of dumb that you actually spend more in the long run buying the unassembled version.
