This is not the Pi B. This is the Pi 2B, which is the latest version of the Raspberry Pi. The models were: * Pi 1 Model A * Pi 1 Model B * Pi 1 Model A+ * Pi 1 Model B+
...then they skipped right over "2" and called the latest one Pi 2 Model B.
I use these at our school to teach about computers. We started last year with the Pi 1 Model B+ and it was nice, but the Pi 2 Model B is a significant boost over the past model.
The only thing I'm not sure about is the pricing. The board, itself, is $35. And the accessory kit that I see is a fairly cheap case, a power adapter (micro USB tip), HDMI cable, and a pre-loaded Raspbian (Raspberry Pi-specific build of Debian) card. I think even at the best price, there is another kit out on Amazon that has all this plus a wi-fi USB dongle for $1-2 more.
EDIT: I do see that there is a wi-fi dongle in this one, as well, so that gets it closer to a deal, but even so, if you have Prime, the other kit with the better case is only $1-2 more than this one, so it's not much of a deal.
I LOVE the Raspberry Pi, and I think this is a good way to get it into more hands, but I'd really like to see a better price on here. If you killed shipping, it might be close, but I'd almost rather go Amazon Prime and get it in 2 days.
