I received my watch and noticed an issue with the hour/minute hand alignment. I made a support request for a replacement but was told by Massdrop staff that this defect is normal. I checked every watch in my collection and none of them suffer from alignment that is consistently off, especially to the degree of ~3 minutes as shown below at the 9 o'clock marker hour/minute hand locations. Do the rest of you have this same issue with your Alpinists?

Shazb0tVery nice observation! Weirdly this happens to mine for 7, 9 & 11 (very minimal); while 1, 3 & 5 seems to have proper alignment. Searching around in watchuseek leads to multiple forum posts in this regard for SARB017 & SKX007 series of Seiko watches, which leads me to believe this is a common and long ongoing issue with Seiko QC.

agniSo when you say 'very minimal', are you in the same ballpark as the pictures I posted?

agniI have both an aplinist and a pepsi skx. I just double checked both of them and they are both perfectly aligned. If its minimal Id see if my local guy can fix it. If not I'd probably return it or flip it.
