If this was an automatic I would buy it... Quartz watches are pretty boring to be honest.

JamesonyI've had the same thought when checking out this exact model some months ago. The problem is, with Seiko automatic chronographs, one would either have to go used ($2-400+), or fork out upwards of 20 times ($2K++) what this SNN231 is going for.

serifThere are plenty of Automatic watches on Massdrop and hardly any Quartz so you have plenty of chances to get an Auto. I think it is a good thing to offer a Quartz every now and then because you can get a very accurate watch for very little money compared to an Auto

PenceyPrepI don't disagree with you, it's definitely good to have choices (quartz/kinetic/solar/auto/etc) available because people want different things :) Quartz watches are great for what they do, I just wasn't interested in one at the moment I made my comment 2 months ago. I now have a solar in my sights :P

serifHa, funny to read my old comment. I've picked up a quartz (the slow jo drop!) and a seiko kinetic (SUN019) since.
