I have the Sportura SSC359 which I bought with the integral leather strap. It also has the V198 movement. I think this drop, the Coutura, is a better watch all round. Many of the design-faults of the SSC359 are fixed here.
The pushers are smoother and more integral and so won't "dig" into your wrist the way the pushers on the SSC359 do. The crown is not screw-down, which is an altogether unnecessary feature IMHO since this is not intended as a diver, and means you can operate the alarm without worrying about stripping the thread. The diameter is 1mm smaller than the SSC359(this is a big watch, guys). The black dial with white hands are much more visible - tell the time at a glance. Even though the vid. seems to suggest you can't change the strap, I question that. I have yet to see a Seiko where the strap cannot be changed. I have my Sportura on a Nato.
In addition, I should point out that if you do NOT use the alarm, the 24hr sub-dial can be used as a 24-hr dual-time (GMT). When the alarm is not set this small sub-dial tracks the watch time. If you pull out to the second position and reset the main hands to your new "local" time and immediately push back in, the small 24hr sub-dial will continue to display your "home" time, while the main hands are now showing the "local" time. Just be aware that all the other functions - day, date and and alarm - will still be tracking your home time.
