I get it, some people cannot get this watch from Amazon as it doesn't ship it outside the US. But still, its a $60 watch. Why the hell is this here? It isn't even a "real" Seiko as the movement is Malaysian. Between this, and the Armand Nicolet which was priced above what other retailers had it for, I have to wonder why the hell am I subbed to this community? Am I just in the wrong place or dreaming to think I will ever see proper entry, tier II luxury watches on here such as Tag, Rolex, Grand Seiko, Omega. etc? I don't need a deal on a Victorinox, regular Seiko, or pseudo luxury brand like Armand Nicolet (which will lose probably 80% of its value as soon as it is shipped). It is quite easy to already find deals on all of those brands. I want an actual deal, on a watch worth owning not just from a "I like the look of it" standpoint, but from a "will I be proud to give this to my son" standpoint. Come on, please let's see a drop for well heeled collectors. No more watches that I could buy cheaper on Amazon. At the very least give us some better Seiko JDMs like the Prospex line!

FranzKromerOne day maybe they will have one :) myself will spend that kind of money deal or no deal when I've fixed my own house and stuff. All about timing in life when you can afford something like that, for most people that day is not as often as one would like. I sincerely hope that they will be able to find a nice mass deal on a nice omega :)

I agree that Omega or Rolex wouldn't love to see their watches here, but it is not very different than seeing them on Ashford, which manages to provide deals comparable or better than AODs, and way better than an Omega boutique. Granted, they deal exclusively in this stuff, but it proves it is possible. I don't think there would be any reason to worry about getting a fake off Massdrop. Maybe I am just naive, but I wouldn't even wonder if something I got here is fake or a frankenwatch. I recently got an Omega DeVille at the duty free shop at Bangalore airport for ~20% cheaper than anywhere it is available stateside. If they can do it, why not Massdrop?
I was not trying to be a snob, though I think it behooves a watch collector to understand why some watches are valuable and others are not, even if they have comparable movements. Seiko certainly makes excellent watches. But for a watch enthusiast community, I think they need to dig deeper than a $60 Flieger available on Amazon. If they had a nice Brightz or Prospex below Amazon prices I would jump on it.
Again, I do not judge anyone who wants to get a beater, who is just getting into mechanical watches, or simply cannot afford $2k+ on a watch. It just seems that there are 0 options on here for collectors/enthusiasts who are looking for something beyond entry level. I feel like if you are willing to spend $1000 on an Alpina or Armand Nicolet you may as well double up and get an Omega which will hold its value far better. Seiko is the only brand on here with any real watchmaking history, and after all isn't that a big part of why enthusiasts buy watches?
Happy holidays as well to you.

BondueI understand most people are not going to spend the money on an Omega very often. Still, if they could offer a drop at the prices you would pay in India or Singapore, I believe many people would jump on it.
