If you search for the model number, SSC013, on Amazon.co.jp, some gray market reverse imports appear (the watch was not sold in Japan). The photos look quite different. I thought that it was a different watch, but detail by detail it's the same. The Amazon.co.jp photos are just exposed with more contrast, while the photos here are somewhat washed out. In particular, the hour markers (not sure what the term is) are really prominent. Also, the typeface is more bold and contrasty appearing. I have the feeling that the Amazon.co.jp photos are more realistic. It doesn't look bad, but the vibe is very different.
Edit: I see one difference: The watch here says Seiko X Solar, while Amazon.co.jp is Seiko Solar Chronograph. "Seiko X" is a series sold in Japan. Is is also sold in the U.S.? At any rate, when previously investigating this series, I discovered that the Japanese version (the manual is online) does not support the second time zone (an alternate function in the Alarm section as someone else noted). This feature was only on the U.S. version. The caseback model number has been Photoshopped out of the photo here, so it's hard to know exactly what submodel this is to compare to online manuals.

I need to stop buying watches like this. I love it, but I do not need another inexpensive watch. This is so tempting.

I'm not usually a fan of very busy dials, like the "aviation" watches, but this one looks remarkably good! Tempted, but I'm not sure I want to add another watch to the rotation since I would wear them less and less. Downsizing is hard :(

It says "Dual Time" in the description. How does that work? do the chronograph functions keep time for a separate zone?
