Dirk1609there is no functional difference between the 7S26 and 7S36 - the XX36 has one additional non-functional jewel - both are automatic movements with no hand wind or 'hacking' (although you can hack the movement by using a time setting technique)... i'd recommend buying the watch you like on its dial and movement - you can get basically the same movement with the same dial in the Seiko 5 Sports line by spending almost *half* the amount of the 7S36 vs 7S26, and you'll get the same watch with the same water resistance (generally 100 meters - suitable for swimming)... and no screw-down crown.. the only Seiko 5 Sports watches with 200 meter water resistance and screw-down crowns are the SKZ211K1 and variants
