Powered by Seiko 4R36, an automatic movement of 24 jewels, the Presage SRP features a curved sapphire crystal that’s resistant to scratching. The polished stainless steel case can be flipped over for a peek at the movement thanks to the display caseback. The dial is characterized by its classic, minimal look, with applied indexes in silver and an outer chapter ring for more precise measurements of time. The date window at 3 o’clock displays the day in both English and French—perhaps a nod to Francophiles. Behind the Presage SRP’s classy look is a fair amount of toughness, to boot: it’s water resistant to a respectable 100 meters.
