This is a diver-styled watch, NOT a dive watch.
100M water resistance is NOT sufficient for scuba, even at 30 feet.
Seiko and and other companies recommend only watches rated 200 M and deeper for Scuba.

DDrojust wanted to add to what you said. The difference between this watch and the seiko skx series, tuna, monster, sumo or any of the other prospex line of seiko divers is that these and other watches that carry "diver" written on the dial have to undergo a number of ISO 6425 requirements to qualify for this designation as a true divers watch. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diving_watch. Missing features for this watch include lack of illumination on the bezel, lack of screw down crown.
in reality though, having owned over a dozen seikos and having swam in the ocean, showered and done pool swimming with a seiko 5 rated at 30m, I bet this 100m dive style watch would actually work fine for most people's swimming and diving needs. I bet this watch can tolerate diving to 100m even if seiko has other watches that would serve the purpose more appropriately.
