How common is it that a watch on MD comes without a warranty?

Is there warranty on this watch? Last drop it was listed as having 1 year; this time there's no indication for warranty...

dleblancNo. Response from MD, " Unfortunately, this doesn't have a warranty, but we do have a 30 day return policy for defective items. " Feel free to let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. Kindest regards, Jodi

This is most likely a gray market watch & Seiko warranty is not included either.

So that previous price for the last drop was a pricing error?
I can understand how folks are upset that they missed a steal due to a pricing error (if that's the case). And that Massdrop may have stepped on peoples' toes in dealing with it.
But it's an unsustainable model to continue to sell something at a mistakenly low price. How can you expect a company do that?
I guess what we have to ask ourselves is, is the current price fair, and does it represent a good enough deal compared to other prices that it's worth buying it here?
If not, don't buy. But it seems like a lot of folks feel that it is a good enough deal for them.
No one should expect to get a price that was mistakenly set too low in the past. I can understand, however, how some folks who bought at that price back then would be upset if they didn't ultimately get it.

No, I don't know of a reply from Massdrop, but I haven't been looking for one, either.
In truth, I am on the very edge of what happened - I hadn't looked at MD for several days, and when I got back there was a frenzy of frantic, confused discussion about what had just happened. So I wasn't caught up in the storm at all.
Because of that, I really have no skin in the game regarding that previous drop. So I haven't been actively looking for an explanation as to what went down.
But the fact that the drop was terminated prematurely in what seemed like a panic, and the fact that the watch has now been offered at a much higher price (if, agruably, still a good deal for some), leads me personally NOT to expect to see it at that same price. Probably ever again.
That's just me connecting the dots.
I do agree, however, that Massdrop should provide some sort of explanation if, in fact, they haven't done so.

K.T.NIt wasn't a pricing error.
They sold 50 units at a lower price.
It's pretty simple.

Geeze... this is such a great price. I bought mine for $315USD shipped a little over a year ago, and absolutely love the watch. The strap is extremely comfortable too. The only issue I had was with changing the strap. The pins are fat, so I couldn't fit them through an isofrane strap. I also couldn't find slimmer pins that would fit.

Sorry MD. I was interested but not anymore for this pricepoint. If u can match the price for as in the previous drop, i would have jumped on this watch. Besides, this is an old model(old stock) since Seiko has come up with Padi variants for this watch.

I know the feeling. It is a great watch & it wears very comfortably. I can even use my old Sharper Image winder to keep it charged! The last drop with a 1 year warranty was a no-brainer, but this one would give me pause. I'm in the US, so I can get one for not much more. Amazon usually offers a 2 year warranty on gray market watches. BTW No one really NEEDS another diver. They just seem to make their way into our hands, somehow.

No deal here, you screwed up this again $100 more than the last drop and you cut that drop short because someone must have mucked up on the price. I was interested but not anymore, keep your watch
