rayce444Good call. Agreed 100%. That used to be the only time my watches ever got banged up. Taking them to a PROFESSIONAL to have the battery changed. It was almost every time I'd get them back to find case scratching. I take gresr care of the stuff I love and value and this would drive me up the wall. Sometimes relegating that now damaged watched to long term storage. I then went to automatics, but alternating watches and sometimes having a few months go by, they'd almost always be out of juice. I had a Sportura kinetic automatic I loved, but no watch winder could keep it juiced. There was an inductive charger that was risky, and $300 bucks that worked, I heard. I tried to rug something custom up but it wouldn't ever work. There was a handsgake that occurred before juice stated flowing through that I couldn't ever overcome.
I'm now almost 100% solar with my day to day watches, and couldnt be happier.

shard_incAgreed! I had 9 automatics, all with Valjoux engines.....on a VERY expensive winder....all watches needing different directional movement for different time intervals. Bought my first Seiko Solar about 5 years ago and began selling my autos. Now, I never think about what a pain in my arse all that was. Enjoy being maintenance free. The best!
