I do not understand how this perpetual calendar works. Is it still possible to easily tell what day of the month it is?

MaxOctaneYou toggle between tachy mode and date mode by pressing the bottom pusher. The chronograph second hand then points to the day of the month instead of 12. It is a fairly complex watch to set and operate. Definitely need the user manual.
