is there any warranty given the battery problems we have heard about

In a previous reply, jtancos1 mentioned getting this response from Massdrop:
"All products sold on Massdrop are covered by a one year warranty, however, in a case like this I would also like to give you more information about the preventative measures and safety for a device like this."
In Massdrop's help section, it says: "The terms of the warranty are the same as the manufacturer's", but it's unclear if the manufacturer provides anything at all. These are the definition of cheap Chinese knockoff products (though I'm surprised at how heavy-duty the thing feels), so I wouldn't be surprised if there's no support whatsoever.

From what I've read/heard, it sounds like bad stuff might happen when the battery is overcharged. So to be safe, I'm making sure to never charge it overnight/more than 2 hours, and I'm keeping it away from anything flammable.
