When I saw "AND MORE", I thought there are more types. Disappointed with only XLR. I don't want to bring my huge ass amplifier to my second home.

ZiggyStarOne of the advantages of these headphones is that you can swap the cable, so you could switch back to the original cable when you travel...

BradTombaughNah, I mean my cable is dying. So I'm actually looking for a replacement. This seems good, the price seems good but I don't have any portable XLR amps or DACs.

ZiggyStarOptions to add ZY-006 (4-pin XLR female to 6.35mm male TRS adapter) or alternate with ZY-005 (Sennhesier HD-650 to 6.35mm male) would have been appreciated. I would have taken the 002/006 combo since would permit direct connection to a (future, anticipated) balanced amp, easy insertion of a generic (professional audio) 4-pin XLR extension cable, and easy termination with standard 1/4" TRS unbalanced for legacy applications.
I don't know if there is a ZY 4-pin XLR female to 2.5mm TRRS (balanced) option, but doing it oneself seems to be a viable option for "standard" connectors. For that matter, a DIY ZY-006 seems well within grasp.

ZiggyStarYou can get the original HD650 cable (the best cable) for $22 usd on Amazon. Sold by Sennheiser. I have lots. And I use them to build my Balanced cables as well. Way better than anything you can buy aftermarket.
The 650 stock cable is Teflon coated and it is shielded. It is soft. And dead quiet. No microphonics. No static, no interference.
$22 amazon. No reason for anyone not to have a pair. I even use them for other headphones. I just solder 3.5mm males at the ends and done. Great cable.
