NJbonelessEdit: I see another reply below that says this will work with th610, so maybe they do use the same connector.
Edit2: yes, the hd6xx and th610 use the same connectors (also hd600/hd650 and th900mk2), so this cable should work for any of those headphones.

HappyMaxWhile yes these connectors for the Sennheisers will fit the Fostex-TH610/900 MK II and sound will come out them if you plug em in. The polarity is reversed which really kills the sound out of the headphone.
(I have tried a few different cables, all of which terminate into an unbalanced 1/4" jack and they makes the phones sound terrible so maybe it wouldn't make a difference if the connection was balanced I don't know for sure)
Inverted polarity sounds kind of strange as the phones are now moving sound waves reversed into the phone cups then reflect to your ears (<-Sound->) instead of directly into your ears (->Sound<-). In my experience it really kills the power you get out of your phone as the sound has to fight back through the moving driver to reflect to your ears.
I find my Th900MK II's really lack the power that they have when the polarity is correct.
This is my experience while using unbalanced cables. I have not tried using balanced cables with the polarity reversed so i am not sure if it would make a difference.

Thunder-DanI'm sorry to say this but I have the HD650 and the little plugs that connect into each driver they are universal and could be flipped so that if I wanted to I could inverse the phase just by rotating them 180 degrees so that what was once the R+ is not being feed the R-. I imagine if they fit into the Fostex and the phase is inverted just rotate the connection aka what polarity you are feeding each driver, seems pretty simple, unless you can't rotate the connector when used with a Fostex? Now I'm really curious about this too!

WesRI would be careful doing that! the pins are similar in size but there is a noticeable size difference between the 2 pins. Forcing them in backwards could severely damage the connector slot of your expensive cans.
Sennheiser connector: the upper pin is slightly larger then the lower pin.

Official Fostex Connectors: the size difference is a bit more pronounced.

Yes the Sennheiser connectors work with fostex but you should perform a polarity switch mod to get the full potential out of them. I would HIGHLY DISCOURAGE attempting to force plugging in the connectors 180 degrees rotated to save time and convenience. If you trash the cable during the mod you wont be out nearly as much had you had trashed your earcup connector.

Thunder-DanHey Dan thanks for the informative reply, when I responded I wasn't aware the connectors were different which is why I was confused and gave my insight because yes the Sennheiser connectors are almost identical in size while the Fostex clearly have a very large size difference and like you said NO ONE should be interchanging these cables. Not worth the potential damaged especially if you tried putting those Fostex connectors into a Sennheiser headphone port. Thanks for showing us the big difference.

WesRThe cable connectors will work in a Fostex socket but the fit may not be the tightest. They should not cause any damage if the sized pins are matched up to the holes on the headphones. The smaller pin should go into the smaller hole. damage may occur if you where to plug the connector in backwards. Putting the larger pin of the Sennheiser connectors into the smaller hole on the Fostex headphone could cause damage to the socket. With the proper polarity mod (On Unbalanced Cables. I don't know about Inverted Polarity Balanced Audio Cables) these connections work fine (They may just not connect as securely as an official cable would). If you are careful they should not cause damage just don't go and force them in backwards.
