These are open back headphones. Do they leak sound pretty bad or are they all good? I ordered the HD6xxs and was thinking about picking these ups for portable headphones, but if they leak sound I might not buy these.

ReverseCometThey do leak as much as any open back, and let in a meaningful amount of outside sound as well. I don't think they'd be at their best as portables. I don't have a great recommendation for portable over-ears in this price range, but if you are considering iems, the Mee PX drop that's currently up don't cost a whole lot more, and I am really liking mine.

ReverseCometI have the HD 598s which are also open back, so they probably work in a very similar way. Anyway, if on maximum, they will leak enough sound for a person next or close to you to have a full audio experience. But if not on full volume, people around you will still be able to hear most of what you are doing. I wouldn't use mine in public.

ReverseCometAll open back head phones are going to have this sound leak but its not a problem since that is how they design works. What you want are close back headphones for public use or IEMs
