95 Ohms and mobile devices? Suuuuuure. I don't think they were really talking about mobiles. But hey we all carry a battery operated mini amp with us right? That's totally mobile? But hey who am I kidding it's not like Massdrop is going to ship this to me anyway, so what am i complaining about, maybe that Massdrop is turning into US drop.

Zer0lagThese are easily driven from a mobile phone as the drivers have high sensitivity, even the hd6 which is 150 ohms can easily be driven by mobile devices.

Chailee80There is a difference between headphones being loud and headphones being well driven. Sure the high sensitivity means it might be loud, but the high ohms required means that a phone cant drive them properly. But hey that's my 2 cents. If you have ever heard about NWavGuy then you should know about this page where he explains impedance among other things http://nwavguy.blogspot.co.za/2011/02/headphone-impedance-explained.html

Zer0lagYup, they sound pretty lackluster un-powered. When I plugged them into my sound card for the first time it sounded so beautiful I wanted to cry.
