Hmmm... Was kinda surprised at the hate so far. Seems to be quite competent and battery life is good even for listening to podcasts and whatnot. My main issue was it doesn't quite want to stay in my mutant ear and I had to use both the large ear tip AND the ear hook. And yes, the noise reduction does work... somewhat. It's there. Noticeable against plain wired headsets, but not comparable to the fancy triple-mic noise reducers.
As for range and obstacles, this is a BT3 device, not BT4. Comparing it against BT4 devices like the Plantronics Edge, seems to be rather unfair.
You get exactly what you pay for, basically. Not a great drop, merely tolerable.
