Price?
This is the Num Pad what I have been looking for.. when will be the next drop??
jooanm
FYI, the last one didn't ship because the manufacturer was back ordered...
So... eventfully? Also even if it comes up don't get over excited :P

I really appreciate for your comment. After your reply, I read history of disscussion and found back order..
I didn't even get an email, and had to log in here to read comments and see that orders were canceled. I don't recall even seeing a refund hit my account.
Did anyone else just get their order cancelled?
OmegaZero55
Yep, mine too.
Is there an update on this?

I got that email too. Did everyone get their order cancelled or only a few of us, I wonder. I ordered the cyan high profile one with Gateron yellow switches.
OmegaZero55
I can't answer accurately to that but atleast i got my money back!
Any updates on the status of this drop?

if you cancel your order is there any way i can take ownership of it?
linnes
Not sure - you could ask Massdrop. I have already been refunded, however.
It's a bummer that I missed this because of a payment error. T_T
MX Clears please.
I don't suppose anyone knows if the dark grey will match the grey in the Canvas keycap set, do you? https://www.massdrop.com/buy/planck-keycap-set?utm_source=linkshare&referer=8PQWFM
Looks pretty close to me, but it's hard to tell from photos.

When it comes to anodized grey of any variety, it will only ever be 'close enough'. The hue will change from batch to batch, which is one of those things you often see on anodized keyboard kits with a mating top and bottom.
I mean, I pick grey anodize every time personally, but I do so under the premise that black and clear anodize are super boring.

Sorry, I meant the keycaps, not the plate.
What layout is shipped by default on this?
Looks like someone was in a hurry to put the one with grey caps together-

Hmm, so it only has one programmable layer? And it doesn't include a USB cable? And without keycaps it's still $20 more than the Max Falcon?

Are the blanks for the 17 key or 20 key? Also, are you getting 20 switches or 17? And it says USB cable not included in the description, so if it is you might erase that line. Honestly I love the aesthetics of this, if it came with an aluminum case to match the plate I would have no problem parting ways with $80.
zzzaacchh
Image and description pretty clearly shows upwards of 20 keys, and there are no purchasing options for just 17 switches/keycaps.
Wish i could just get the plate, bases and pcb, without the switches.
"Finally—a 4x5 numpad that carries RGB underglow!"
Could someone tell me what other 4*5 (programmable) numpads are available?
okay so....

100 dollars for the 60% base kit, and then 80 for a /numpad/ ? supposedly 100 dollars MSRP?
really???

now i see
if the plate on this drop is as thick as it appears and not hollow then i guess its kinda fine
subadanus
It's not really the thickness, it's just that it's a more "3D" manufacturing process. Sandwich cases can be represented on a 2D CNC system, and therefore easily to manufacture quickly with cheaper methods like laser and waterjet, and you just use these methods on any thickness stock you need. Both pieces for this pad can't be represented by a 2D coordinate system, requiring more manufacturing time with more expensive equipment, like a 3D CNC mill. The most obvious piece is the bottom acrylic case, which is a wedge instead of a slab with holes in it. The best comparison is the base S60-X you linked, and this 3D acrylic case from their own site: https://sentraq.com/products/gb-60-acrylic-high-profile-case?variant=44545475210
So now key backlight? Just RGB underglow? Does it at least have support for me to add my own LEDs?
Zynski
Looking at the underside, it does appear to have holes for per key LEDs.
Zynski
Their designs tend to allow you to add your own specific LEDs
Very nice numpad to be honest, but a little on the expensive side.
I think for 80 bucks it should have per key RGB and probably a Type C connector.
y u so expensive
Kerosss
Agree. too expensive
wow I really like the look of this pad, super nice and compact looking, I would totally jump on this if I wasnt buying dsa granite
