Isn't it a bit overpriced? And why exactly is it "The Best Of Massdrop"?

RuskyFair question @Rusky. "Best Of" is not limited to only items that have been popular on past drops. Many products are popular but not at the top of their class, and many products that are the top of their class don't end up being popular - or, as in this case, simply haven't had a chance to be popular yet.
Serge Panchenko is among the most respected midtech knife makers out there, and his Coin Claws have sold out quickly on past drops. His use of both the stop pin AND the detent ball in both directions is a really fantastic design. The tolerances of this knife, and everything we've seen come off Millit's production line, are top-notch. It's hard to adequately convey the fit and finish of this knife without holding it; I hope you have a chance to do that with one of Serge's knives at some point.
So - why "Best Of?" One of the best custom knife makers and midtech designers created a great design, used one of the best manufacturers to make a knife from some of the best materials, then finished each one by hand in his own shop.
Hope that helps to clarify. I don't often inject my own opinions or talk up a product on the site...but these knives are truly a joy to hold.

JonasHeinemanThanks for your reply Jonas. I was thinking that The best of massdrop applies only for drops that are are repeating. By the way, are you guys planning to ship knives to Spain? As at my job the proxies are in France, I've seen that you are shipping them to France, even though I'm in Spain :D. Actullay before all those problems with shipping knives started, I've bought several from massdrop and never had any problem.

JonasHeinemanIsn't the intent of Massdrop to mold to the community. I find the label disingenuous, shouldn't it be "staff picks" if it isn't something the community overwhelmingly purchased. I was honestly concerned with how your comment was going until the end statement, I really don't want to see Massdrop just become some launching platform for overprices niche products. As well, isn't the purpose to reduce the price of an item by "massdropping" but I find a 7% discount hardly anything.... and it's sad that anything is hitting this website anywhere near MSRP. Drops like this, and others which appear to provide no additional discount from the same product sold elsewhere, make me believe that Massdrop is becoming less of what it was intended to be, and more of just another retail store.
