Guys, help me out before I commit (though the comments thus far kinda suggest we all may be in same boat)- "Serge" products (although craftsmanship seems meticulous) always strike me as being far outside the average in price for similar custom makers / shops- for example, the "Serge Coin Claw" which Triple Aught Design just launched is a small blade on a circular platform the size of a 50 cent piece that are retailing around $250 & eBaying for $300+...Again, size of a 50 cent piece. These bean knives are $350 or so- again, similar products by other quality "makers" (Burke, Amsler, Anso, etc.) still go for more than many are willing to pay, but well worth it to me...I just can't figure out why "Serge" is consistantly $100 + more than even my estimated value- Can anyone tell me more about him? Is he world famous or something? Did he win some blade competition? Or, as these EDC items go, did some Navy SEAL say that they used one of his products on a raid? (LOL said in jest)...Please, if someone can tell me more about him I'd love to hear.

.... and yet, at the time I write this, 17 people have purchased it! If there was no market for it at this price, he would be forced to lower prices. As it stands there seems to be plenty of people out there with money to burn. I'm with you on this; nice knife, but way off mark with my budget (says the person who just spent $200 on a spinning Top).

TasselhoffSad, sad indivuals (with apparently very deep pockets. thst, if cihrse, from my very subjective perspective). Hunks of brass spun on a lathe. A lot of work certainly goes into them, but they're still solid state. No moving parts.
