"Price isn't that bad." Anyone who bought this is joking themselves. It's an interesting piece of art, one that you can take in your pocket anywhere. But that's where it ends. With a single inch blade this will never be much more than a glorified box-cutter. For such lack of utility and being overpriced (the machining and materials it's made of don't cost jack) I can see zero reasons to buy this unless your ego is bigger than the roof and you don't care about hungry people in the world. Just my 2 cents.

UzuzuYou hit the nail on the head with, "It's an interesting piece of art" (and, frankly, you could have stopped there). This item is far more than the sum of it's parts, and belies a usefulness beyond it's ability to cut. It's a conversation piece which just happens to also be a functional knife.
If you're unfamiliar, art has no limits to its appreciation. It is one of the purest examples of a free market there is. Is a Picasso really worth millions? To some, it is. Just as to some, this knife is worth $250. Neither purchase is clearly indicative of either a giant ego or apathy towards the plight of the world's hungry.
Not for you, that's fine. Not for me either, however the pejorative rhetoric doesn't really do anyone any good, even the world's hungry, so maybe you can keep those particular two cents to yourself next time.

UzuzuThat is one of the silliest arguments that I have seen on Massdrop. Moreover, before judging others, your own drops that include a colorful bubbler or a headphone amplifier may motivate others to suggest that you too don't care about "hungry people in the world." From the looks of your comments, you are a TROLL, sir.

UzuzuYour poorly made assertion that people who would buy one of these don't care about the world's hungry, could actually be made about everything sold here on Massdrop. After all, why spend the money on a new pen, knife, or pair of headphones, when we could just buy hungry people sandwiches instead, right Comrade?

KnifeGuyI'll agree with your comments, but this is $250 worth of dookie. At least with pens and headphones they will be used for what they were made for, I can't say the same for this knife. Who is really going to use this as their everyday-ish knife, honestly?

AAAAAAAAAAAAApersonally going to put it on a necklace and have it as a cool little conversation piece, i like the design, i like the maker... nuff said. who are you to say that this is made to be a solo carry edc knife? it obviously isn't designed for that, therefore i will get out of it what it was designed to be... a nifty little bauble with a sharp edge on it somewhere.
do you comment the same thing on all the pop vinyl toys? that because they don't get "used" they are worthless? no, because they bring some kind of joy to their owners, that is all that matters
does your $100+ pen write 100x better than my $1 pen? or last 100x longer? no, in fact a lot of those expensive pens use the same refills as $3 pens, meaning they cannot perform better than those $3 pens
i don't even know why this discussion happens on so many things on massdrop.... if you haven't purchased something with your own money, it is pretty hard for you to comment on the purchases impact on you and if it was or was not worth it.... just constantly complaining about how something is overpriced without first spending a few minutes/hours research on how much it may have cost to produce is such a waste of time...
i mean heck, you should at least agree with the fact that if you were offered this product for free with the provision that you could not sell it ever, that you would probably happily accept it right? if yes, then how can you call it "dookie"? if no, then why did you even click on the link for it?

JasrilI clicked on the link to tell you how stupid of a knife this is, wasn't that obvious? You are buying it as a conversation piece. $250 well spent. Also, I don't buy $100 pens because I have no use for one, I was just using it as an example of how that product would get more use than this knife. Why not just frame $250 in a necklace, boom, conversation piece. Anywho, this was jerkoff material for knife nuts, and you bought into it, meh.
