I've gone back and forth on this one. Love Serge's work. Price wouldn't be terrible if it was a full custom. Being a mid-tech I think there is room for a lower price from the manufacturer. However, this is an excellent price offered from MD. With the recent uptick in Chinese knife manufacturers (Kizer, Reate, etc.) finally paying attention to quality control it has me rethinking how much I'll pay for a knife just because it uses "good materials." These Chinese makers are using top notch materials and still not breaking the bank. If a knife maker is doing their blades by hand I say shoot for the moon on price. What is your time worth and so on. But when you have parts of your process automated and the number of items you push out increases it's time to come down on price a bit. I'm still going back and forth on this one...may end up pulling the trigger.

Wait_For_The_DropIm glad I read through the comments because yours saved me from a lot of typing. I couldn't agree more. I would only add that if it was 25% larger or had a lock, even with just nail nick deployment there would be no question--id be all over it even if I had to starve for a cpl weeks.
But I have a one custom and one limited edition piece on layaway with two dealers right now, so I really would have to starve or beg on the corner to put another $275 into knives this month.
Plus, there is supposed to be a very special Spyderco Para 2 dropping in my neck of the woods any day now; got to stay ready, maintain liquidity...
