I received mine - it came in space grey. Now I have two M3 in space grey... I happily joined the drop to get a silver one, wondering how Massdrop would manage to get the (everywhere unavailable) silver one. Now I know: they don't. At least processing and delivery was rather quick. But unfortunately I had to pay a customs charge (EU import) on top of the drop price.

The vendor informed us that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse. Based on the tracking provided, the order is scheduled to arrive 3/29.

Our vendor has informed us that inventory will become available to them within the next few days. They will be working hard to prepare this order for shipment and aim to send it from their location by the beginning of next week. We are currently trending for everything to be shipped out of our warehouse before the estimated ship date of 3/30.
Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 3/24 or sooner if something comes up.

Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Shanling M3 and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 3/30.

I don't see anywhere that mentions the file format support, but I assume it supports FLAC.

I'm using a Cowon D2, which granted is almost a decade old, and may or may not be "comparable" in your view, but it does offer basic recording through an onboard mic. All I'm saying is, it seems a waste to have all this hardware in the M3 (line in, SPDIF in) with no capture ability.
You're likely correct that few people would use it, but I have my doubts that more people would use this as a DAC or pre-amp.

thrijidI agree some would likely just using this as a player. As for myself I also would like to have the recording function added providing the additional costs is reasonable. I would also try to use this as a Hi Res HD music player and connect it to my main system prior to purchasing a more expensive DAP for home use.
