Edge performance is closely tied to sharpness. To keep your kitchen knives and fixed blades in great working condition, you need a good set of tools. Enter the SharpEdge “Home Basic” sharpening set. This three-piece set comes with a combination whetstone used for putting a new edge on a blunt knife, fine sharpening, and removing burrs. One side is #1000 grit, and the other #3000 grit. To use it, soak the stone in water for 10 minutes and drag the edge at a continuous angle back and forth, on both sides. The included sharpening guide clip helps maintain the same angle. It has a soft plastic build to prevent damage to your favorite blades. After initial sharpening, use the leather strop to remove the remainder of the burr from the blade. If you prefer a more specialty combination whetstone, there's a #1000/#6000 grit and #3000/#8000 grit whetstone, plus a simple #400 grit whetstone at checkout.
Note: The base price is for the sharpening set with a #1000/#3000 grit combination whetstone. At checkout, you can also choose a #1000/#6000 grit (+ $3), #3000/#8000 grit (+ $10), or #400 grit (- $10) whetstone. You will also have the option to add on a second stone.
