Ugh.... Just got a "this is going to ship late" notice......was expecting to have it for christmas 😩 @sharpedge Do you have any more info than what MD provided as to the nature of the delay? Or realistically if it can still be expected before christmas, or if i need to make other plans now?

KavikHi Kavik, yeah, the knives are still stuck in the customs procedures, it takes much longer than usually :/ So as soon as they are cleared, they will arrive to Massdrop’s warehouse in a day. I think there are good chances that the knife will be delivered to you before Xmas. I’ll check on Monday to see if we can do something about the customs, but so far we’ve submitted all the documentation they needed.. I will keep you posted! cheers, Grega

MattwestHi - yes, Massdrop (as the importer) received a request from customs authorities to submit some additional documents. Nothing unusual for US customs to request these documents, although the procedure does take longer than usual. I think by the end of the week the knives will be at Massdrop ready for shipment, but nothing can be certain as we cannot control US customs.. I'll keep you updated once the shipment is cleared, Im aware that many would like to receive their knife before Xmas. cc @Kavik.

It's disappointing that MassDrop can't communicate as well about these things, considering they're ultimately the seller here, and this wasn't exactly a cheap drop (though, price shouldn't be a prerequisite for customer service) @JonasHeineman @Mark M. @mike.j @kyleemj Or @ whoever was involved with this one: 2 minutes to write an actual explanation of why something was delayed would go a long way towards customer faith....and not just on the MD produced drops with hundreds of orders, where staff is always more active in the chat, every drop should get the needed attention, ESPECIALLY when there is a problem/delay

MattwestHey @Mattwest and @Kavik, good news! The knives have been cleared and will be delivered this afternoon to Massdrop’s warehouse. I dont know how much time Massdrop will need to prepare single packages and send them to you, but it shouldn’t take very long. @kyleemj, do you know approximately when can they expect to receive the knives? I hope before Christmas? Thanks!

sharpedge@kyleemj @Mark M. @mike.j @JonasHeineman Any updated estimate as to when these might be leaving your warehouse? I assume we're not getting them before Christmas now, considering the FedEx Smart Post generally takes a week to get from PA to NY for some unknown reason.... The manufacturer has already been more than helpful in this discussion, but it would be nice to hear something from the people we actually bought these from.... (disapointed that I know for a fact at least 2 staff members have seen this conversation, but still none have replied)

sharpedgeAre these shipping out soon? This is getting kind of rediculous. I'm going to just sell the knife when I get It. I thought mass drop was good and responsive. This site sucks. I don't understand why I would ever spend my hard earned money here again.

KavikDude the staff at massdrop sucks. All they want is your money and to spit in your face bro. They don't even have that many skus and still don't have the decency to respond . Our money isn't substantial enough their saying.

MattwestI know this ended up being a small drop, so not a huge priority I'm sure. And I know they probably handle things in the order they receive and all that....but you'd think they could prioritize things like this that were supposed to ship 10 days ago. It was less than 10 orders, wasn't it? That could've been out the door in the very next shipment without it slowing anything else down in the slightest That said, i will say this is not the norm in my experience. And I certainly wouldn't blame SharpEdge for it, or dump the knife because of it. That seems a bit extreme and counterproductive. Also, SharpEdge won't be able to Cookeville on the shipping now that it's in MD's hands, that's why I tried tagging a bunch of MD staff again

KavikI agree man . I work in ecommerce sales and if i made my customers wait this long amazon has whats called charge backs and other feautures to stop this. Its totally not sharpedges fault they make wonderful stuff and shipped on time. But for sure this will be the last time I order from massdrop and I play on today smearing massdrop online because I cant get an answer back. Theres no return feature no chat function. These guys are the worst . You would think paying 250 for just one knife would enable you to get better customer service . I followed some of the blade people on here for hopes on answer but Im sure they cant be taken away from facebook instagram and what they will be ordering next for lunch while counting our money .

MattwestI also only want to dump the knife in order to put down mass drop I feel they will keep just walking all over us. I will make a review saying how good the knife is but than blast massdrop they deserve it . I work hard every day at my job and answer questions to my customers why shouldn't they?

MattwestStill sounds a bit extreme, and unfair to yourself to miss out on what could be an awesome knife. You selling one knife isn't going to hurt them at all... I'm using the discussion board feature because, while this is annoying, it hasn't yet escalated to a serious issue for me. (and this is one delayed drop out of dozens that I've joined, you just got unlucky in it being an early drop for you I think) If you feel that it is a bad as all that, contact them through your transactions page under your profile. That's the proper way to contact them for disputes, as opposed to just attempting conversion. I believe the email we got saying this was delayed indicated you can cancel the order at any time up until it ships, if you choose to go that route. Might as well save yourself the hassle and loss of selling it second hand if you're dead set in that decision.

KavikI gave it to my mother for christmas. She loves it . I did take the 10% coupon out of the box lol. Im going to just order through you directly. I believe mass drop is a good site to market your product but they are surely lack luster with sure post shipping and the lack of communication. Your an amazing business owner and Id rather order through you directly because I think the experience of your sale is diluted through massdrop. All of your appointment on the boxing and even the little note was so heart felt and you totally have a life time customer out of me and my parents, But like I said we come from a small business family and I truly value a well ran efficient business like yours keep up the good work!
