A unique spinner in every sense of the word, the Strobe Spinner from Shire Post Mint looks like a medieval coin—and once it gets spinning it puts its dark magic on display. Struck from solid copper or .999 silver, the coin features two sides: one with craggy recessed grooves like a Tetris board; the other with a starburst pattern radiating out from an eight-point center. Both sides are fitted with silicon nitride contact points. As it spins with the Tetris side up, the coin appears to shape-shift. Record it with your phone and watch it create a strobe-like illusion. With a good spinning surface (and some practice) it’s capable of spinning for up to 12 minutes at a time.
Note: At checkout, choose between the copper and .999 silver version (+ $30).
