First spin went for a bit over 11 minutes. However, subsequent spins now average between 5-6 min. on a good spin. Been pretty careful in handling the coin and the balance still seems good. Has anyone else had a significant drop in spin time?

Izzy34The spin surface can actually vary the spin time that far. A perfectly cleaned with alcohol spin station actually has a bit of friction. I know this sounds weird, but try rubbing it ith your fingerprint oils. This can add 7 min to a spin time from a clean glass surface.

ShirepostI was just thinking about this earlier. Has anyone tried polishing their spinning base with a thin layer of silicone lubricant? I'm betting that'll improve spin times significantly. Going to give it a shot later today.
