Shozy Alien v.2 is being developed! I'd really, really be interested in a drop as well. Would it be possible to work a similar deal, an introductory price when it becomes available? That would be awesome!

Like to add listened with the AKG 812 and Fostex Th 900 and the HiFiMan H500. No external amp used and the Shozy Alien drove these to very loud levels at least to my ears. Sounds great by itself doesn't seem to need an external amp. Also on HeadFi there's a way to make it shuffle the music which I'm using now, pressing the sound level down with 3 long presses makes it shuffle your songs. I'm loving this player, ran it Side by side playing the same recordings on the A&K 240 still listening to the Alien it just sounds right to my ears.

Received mine yesterday from my APO forwarding service. Very cool looking loaded up some Flac albums and listened with the Massdrop AKG K7XX, mellow sounds able to drive the AKG's to some decent levels. Simple controls, great if you just start and listen to a whole album at a time. Great midrange for the vocals and on the treble it's not so bright but I can hear the guitars being strummed. I got the silver one and I like it. Will try it hooked to the Fostex HPV1 tube amp, but right now by itself it's sounds really good. Happy with this drop.

I'm obviously incredibly stupid, but it seems to me there should be some sort of user manual. I am able to playback music but certain files seem lost or corrupted. Does the microSD card need to be formated before being used?
I'd ask on their forums or support but that seems to be non-existent.

OJnegAre you using only FLAC or WAV files? The hierarchy needs to be : folders/files; the alien can't read folders within folders. No SDXC

Just got mine today. Is the LED supposed to light up while charging? Mine doesn't and doesn't seem to charging but I can turn it on and play music while it is plugged in.

Thanks again for joining the drop with the community. We submitted the group’s order with the vendor for the Shozy Alien DAP shortly after the drop ended and they have begun preparing it for shipment.
Once the group’s order is ready at the vendor’s location, they will send the bulk shipment to our fulfillment center where we’ll break it up into individual orders and ship them off to you as soon as possible.
The moment we receive confirmation regarding the shipping schedule from the vendor, we will provide you guys with updated information on the status of your package.
Expect an update from us on 1/08 or sooner.
