bharkermisconception that people have with Ebay.
Should be fine - Ebay and PayPal at your side incase of a fraud.
Make the purchase. goodluck.

SkullbunnyNo - Unless you buy from an authorised dealer // brick and mortar store // highly reputable site there's a high chance (but not 100%) they're fake shure's - they're everywhere. But of course you're right, ebay and paypal are on your side incase they are fake
goodluck.

SkullbunnyI'm only focusing on individual/dodgy third party sellers - like the ones on ebay bharker were (maybe?) referencing Even third party sellers with lots of rep might be selling fakes ~
You can purchase fake ones off aliexpress which look nearly identical to real ones for $30 i.e. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2017-new-DIY-SE215M-SPE-with-a-microphone-wire-controlled-noise-reduction-HIFI-headset-in-ear/32791939231.html?scm=1007.13339.33317.0&pvid=cb1ee868-5688-4512-8c6d-bcada3fff5f1&tpp=1
Theres honestly nothing stopping third party sellers from buying those and reselling as genuine
But thats it from me glgl

fuueyI mean they may be fake? But the seller has a good rating and by the looks they seem like a genuine item. Here is the listing - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/292039796147?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

bharker87 reviews could be easily faked. I wouldn't take my chances with that one. you might want to aim for someone with 900+ reviews and a fine overall score.
But again - Ebay and PayPal are backing you up %100 , if you do get it , don't worry, you'll be fine.

bharkerI am pretty sure they are fakes... Limited edition has long been sold out... But easily fake ones can be had from Ebay in blue color... That is quite obvious that if this is limited edition that is sold out and retails for 130 or so it can't be listed in Ebay for 85...

ld100Doesn't work like that. They're fairly old so they go for lower - why do you think they're on Massdrop? Products that sell well and that are new doesn't need a discount to attract buyers (note new arrivals on massdrop that are being sold without a discount) There's always more , somewhere.
I remember myself buying a fitness band for $25 when it goes for $120 retail.

SkullbunnyI tried to find an authentic blue in US brand new after they stopped selling them and they were completely sold out. Over a year ago... But plenty on Ali from China at fraction of the cost. From 30 and up... That is a give away. Authentic ones would be snatched up immediately at full retail on Ebay. If there is discount and seller is in China they are most probably fakes..

e1evenz1nI seen it available here and there few times, but personally I moved on. While Shure 215 IEM is very good it is quite old and is no longer a clear must have in the price range. There are many other IEMs that are significantly better or similar at the same price lever or even at half the price. To me Shure are quite comfortable, but both 215 and 535 I had had issues with sound dropping off on one side due to flaky connection. I think on the left side and that seems to be a common issue with Shure IEMs... I do like Shure sound and if they release a new version would consider it...

ld100What would you recommend as an alternative around the same price. These are meant to have a pretty relaxed sound, anything similar?

bharkerTake a look at Trinity. There are numerous options... With a bit of research on HeadFi it is quite easy to find better alternatives to Shure 215s...
