PRICING: The Massdrop pricing on these seems to be pretty good. My overall assessment is, if you’ve been considering these you’re not going to find a significantly better price from a reputable dealer until Shure comes out with a new model.
After doing a quick (about 5 minutes) online search, the price seems to bounce between $75 (*very* occasionally - last time was several months ago - and usually with extra shipping) to $99 (shipping included from most online establishments). The $99 price seems to be the default. Lower prices seem to pop up occasionally and short durations when they do. Amazon priced them at about $85 about 2.5 years ago. Sources: amazon, ebay, camelcamelcamel, google. According to the shure.com website, these are available for $99, although shipping is not specified. I'm not sure where MD got the $199 MSRP.
PURCHASING EXPERIENCE: If you've used MD before, you know that they do their best to meet their estimated dates. Delays are usually the result of problems on the vendor side of things. I've noticed that, lately, they have been much better at keeping us in the loop if anything unexpected comes up. If you live in CONUS and delays from MD are no more than 1 week, they should arrive by the end of the month. Note: I don't speak for Massdrop - just my personal experience.
MD is also very good at making sure you got what you paid for. Of course, this is assuming that you let them know if you didn't. They can't read minds but they are generally pretty responsive. (Again, from personal experience and from what I've read on other discussion boards).
As far as warranty goes, Shure usually warrants these for 1-2 years (according to shure.com). However, if someone from MD could chime in, here, to confirm this, that would be great.
