qu11355I was using SE215 prior to SE535. I am not a audio expert but I can definitely tell that the SE535 is better. But the difference is definitely not as big as I had hoped for that much difference in price. Both have similar sound signature so lack of a big difference is not surprising.

qu11355Hey QU11355 I own both the shure se 215 and shure se 846, even tho I don't own the SE535 I have heard them before. In my opinion if you're looking to drop a lot of money on a pair of IEMs I honestly would recommend saving your money and buy the Shire Se846. I know the price jump is big, but along with the deep (and I mean DEEP) bass the se846 is capable of, the se 846 has a way way better build quality. The se535 have the same very brittle plastic nozzle that the se215 have while the se846 have metal instead. And honestly once you buy the se846 you won't ever have to worry about upgrading because I can say with confidence they are the king of the universal IEM (although I haven't heard shure's new 3000 dollar electrostatic iem). I believe they are worth the investment. Hope that helps!

qu11355Hey qu11355 I own several IEMs and among them I also have a se215. I believe the bump in performance isn't that great unless you are specifically a performer. Yes the se535s are better but it's not the same change that you experienced when you switched over to the se215s. I'm a drummer and the deep bass as well as the more "full" sounding sound signature helps during gigs but other than that I agree with mr Silent night. I just upgraded to the se846s and they definitely play on a different level.
