Hi everybody, I would like to first mention that I am a beginner, please forgive me for any errors or oversimplification. I am thinking of getting this SE846 (wow for a beginner, huh) after much consideration, but I also want it to sound good and many people online have suggested getting DACs. Suppose I will consider getting this when the drop is on, what cheap but good DACs should I get? Thanks in advance! :)

jjallehWithout a good dac AND amp you're better off not buying these. They'll sound terrible

jjallehThey're widely considered to be one of the best IEM's in the market! They'll make a difference listening from an iPhone as well over regular headphones.

nash1991Ok, thanks, but I don't need a portable DAC or anything right? And I hope the iPhone's output impedance is tolerable for the SE846's 9 ohm impedance?

jjallehWell I'm sure music would sound better with a DAC but no you don't need any kinda DAC or amp to use these with your iPhone!
