I've already got a Beyerdynamic T1, $1000 is just too much for me to justify the purchase lol. 535 is the way to go.

BroooooobiHaha and you aren't?
the T1's we got aren't really "travel" friendly. Kind of big and need a big amp to power the sucker. So why shouldn't I be looking at these :P

directassaultspending another 1000 is just ridiculous for me. In fact, I don't even think the 846 can surpass the T1 in terms of audio quality. Why getting something that is less in quality but more expensive? I think the 535 is the better bang for the buck option. Those are just my opinion, so yea. Note: the 535 aren't cheap as well, such small earbuds cost around 400 dollars is just a bit unbelievable isn't it.

BroooooobiYou can't comare iems to full size headphones.. It's two different things. And by the way SE535 doesn't give top quality for its price either. I had a chance to compare my CustomArt Music 1 (230$~) with my friend's SE535 and the Music 1 performance is slightly better.

iKnowThingsThe highs with the clear filter on the SE-846's are definitely noticeable over the SE-535's. I have to replace the cables on my SE-535's every year and a half by the way.

iKnowThingsHow exactly are you measuring 'performance'? And for what use? Musical enjoyment, monitoring, etc.
Did you measure something quantitatively? How does that translate in terms of audio quality? Are you describing the performance qualitatively? Are you saying that it sounds more direct and fun or more spacious, etc. And isn't that your own opinion?
