How many times have you picked up your notebook, eager to jot down some thoughts, only to find yourself without a writing implement? Making sure that you always have a pen where you need it most, the Sidekick Pen Holder is a 3D printed device that attaches to your Moleskine, Rhodia, or other hard-cover notebook and securely holds your pen in place.
While the product itself is handy enough to warrant a drop, we’re also tickled pink by the production process. The inventor, Vadim Gordin, used his 3D printer and Massdrop PLA filament to prototype and produce his Sidekick Pen Holders. Now that he’s brought his device back to us, we’ve completed the circle of life and ended up with a nifty notebook enhancement to boot.
To attach the Sidekick Pen Holder, take any notebook with a rigid cover, remove the backing from the two adhesives, and stick on the Sidekick Pen Holder. Any pen size stays right in place courtesy of the attached, stretchable band, and the beveled edges ensure that the Sidekick Pen Holder doesn't catch on anything while exiting your bag. An ingeniously simple solution to an everyday problem, the Sidekick Pen Holder saves your sanity and creates a safe space for your pens.
