Joann is offering the following Sidewinder today for 17.49. A bobbin ring would be 6.00 with a 50% coupon. 15 Dritz metal bobbins would be 2.80 with a 50% coupon. Superior Thread offers Bottom Line thread for 5.94. The total of these purchases would be 32.23 plus tax.

Rita, I am sure you are aware of bobbins not being a universal fit for all machines. Do you offer a choice of bobbins that I missed? A Pfaff bobbin does not fit Berninas, etc. As for the thread and bobbin case, they are also offered at 50% off without coupons at the chain fabric stores. Again, this is no bargain you are offering.

well..here's my two cents..........this is way overpriced for a drop. use the 50% off coupon at Hancock's or Joann's for a much better deal. i hope Massdrop starts thinking of what sewing is all about..saving money while being creative.

This product is a cost effective solution for those of us who do not have a secondary motor on our sewing machines for simultaneous bobbin winding. Plus, it's portable and great for the traveling sewist on retreats and vacations. Your sewing machine may wind bobbins a little more evenly, but the Sidewinder is great for winding bobbins in a crunch when you're in the middle of sewing and can't remove your working thread to make a new bobbin.
We would love to hear your suggestions if you have found better portable bobbin winders out there but this is the best one that we have sourced for the group, and the bundle includes everything you need to quickly make bobbins for all your sewing projects.

a friend of mine gave me the sidewinder as a gift and it did not fit my Bernina 750 or her Phaff - I forget what model she has maybe Grand Quilter, or something like that
