e1us1v3I just don't understand, why run expensive speakers through a cheap poor quality Chinese fire hazard amplifier? Tubes do not suddenly make an amp "good".

Vistancehaha, I tried them with my Emotiva umc 200 and xpa3 amp and the cheapo Chinese amp sounds a lot better to me I figured for a few hundred bucks to dive into tubes was a small investment, if I didn't like it I wouldn't be out much. I'm glad I didn't buy into the hype machine that all Chinese made tube gear is crap. I'm much happier with the sound of the Sierra's driven by the tubes than my SS gear.

e1us1v3If having your house burn down is worth saving some money, go right ahead. FWIW, Emotiva is low quality Chinese stuff too so you're comparing equally poor quality gear. Funny people will blow their money on overpriced Apple stuff, and they can't be bothered to spend even a little more for actual quality amplification. But hey, at least you can say all your stuff is made in the same country! Wouldn't want to buck that trend with something American made or otherwise...

VistanceYup sure, you keep preaching that anecdotal evidence of houses burning down. I'll continue to enjoy my music and not buy into the mentality of needing a $2000 amp to drive $1200 worth of speakers. You sound like a bitter xenophobic.

e1us1v3It's best to ignore these people who are borderline brainwashed by sales reps and marketing.

VistanceCheap doesn't always equate to poor sound quality.
