Love this jacket. Been hiking through snow with it and has kept me warm. Cuts the wind out and I like the inner arm sleeves that provide a complete seal with gloves. Bought two of these jackets.
I don't wear this very often as the weather is temperate where I live but when I do need to, it always keeps me warm and is lightweight. It also folds into a pocket to make storage easy. I'm a bit worried about all the down feathers that poke through the fabric though.
Brought this backpacking with me to the Rockies and worked out great. It is light enough to not add a weight strain on your backpack but warm enough to keep you nice and toasty at night. I sleep in a hammock with a tarp covering so this is essential for warmth.
I ordered a size down for a closer fit and it worked out excellent. I usually would wear an XL mostly because of my broad shoulders. I purchased the large and it fits great. The quality seems excellent especially for the price. The fill power feels spot on too me. I have a couple down jackets already but the built in cuffs in the sleeves sold me. I really like the jacket and can't wait for some cooler weather so I can wear it.
I am really liking my jacket! I can't speak to the warmth factor yet, but I didn't buy it for extreme cold. Here's what I like: Large is perfect for me (6'2", 200 lbs), not tight, but not baggy, enough room for a base + mid-layer. There is ample room in the sleeves and the length is perfect. The overall length of the jacket comes down just above the bottom of my rear. There is a large chest pocket with a fairly well concealed zipper and two side zippered pockets. The hood fits comfortably over my head and doesn't move around much or cover my eyes. This jacket is exactly what I was wanting for my frequent work trips to NYC in the fall/winter and everyday use in Utah.
