AverageJooeI've bought inexpensive wood headphone stands, and they're cheap. For me, the technical term is "suck."
However, it probably only makes sense to spend this much for a headphone stand if you have some high-end headphones. For about half the price of this Sieveking, the Woo Audio stand is also excellent.

Sun-WarriorI disagree, I have this exact style "cheap" wooden stand for 2 years and there is nothing "suck" about it. How can somethnig that sits in 1 position and sits on a desk to hold something else sucK? makes no sense.
The construction of the $20 items and these have to be the same process.. there is really not many other options to bend wood this way other than steam heating..

expontheriseOften with knock-offs -- of anything -- there's a wide range of quality in the less-costly versions.
So you were lucky, it would seem, as compared to the poorly finished wood headphone stand I bought a year or so ago.

Sun-WarriorIll suppose I can accept that answer. I cannot disagree that cheap items can have spotty quality differences for the same item.
