Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. As for comparing this Zebrano to the cheap knockoff from Amazon I've had for a while, the overall quality on the Sieveking version is indeed far superior. The first knockoff I got had a massive crack in the cross section, so I sent it back and got a replacement that wobbles. I tried sanding the bottom down to make it even, but it turns out that I'm not much of a wood worker.
I'm sure all the haters out there are still going to hate this for the price, but it is a quality product that can't be replicated cheaply.
Hopefully Massdrop support can sort this out in a reasonable amount of time. I would contact Sieveking directly, since they shipped it out, but their website is in German so I don't have high hopes for that.
EDIT: so they have requested the vendor for a replacement unit for me, but will offer me a refund if the vendor is unresponsive after 30 days from requesting a replacement...

Just found that right now as I was trying to look up the other wood options that weren't pictured here at Massdrop.
