DangitzinThe OS in any lens will rattle. My suggestion is to not shake the lens. I've compared this to shaking a baby on some forums.
This lens varies quite a bit in cost, and is usually available at a great price. This lens is an incredible bang for the buck as far as optics. It's pretty much the equal or superior to the Canon EF-S 17-55/2.8 IS. I own several L lenses, including the EF 24-70/2.8L II, and this lens comes awfully close to it on a crop sensor camera. It's nice and light, and handles fairly well. I'm not going to say it feels like an L, but it still gets use when I'm using my crop camera.
The only downside is if you shoot video and use onboard audio (I don't), it makes a click-click-click noise when micro-focusing. It will be picked up on your camera's microphone. I'd recommend an STM lens if this is your primary use.
