Sad that it's only available for Canon. I'd seriously consider it if it was available for Nikon. Lens is discontinued so that may be why.

I've read some reviews of this lens, but can anyone with experience tell me how this compares to the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM lens for the price of the Sigma?
I know the Canon L lenses have weatherproofing and the 24-70 is tried and true, but aside from that?
