So I just wanted to stop by and hopefully help you guys with my experiences. So I'm a technician for a home security company who offers Sky bell HD as part of the package. So because of that I have personally installed over 200 of these exact same Skybell doorbell Cameras.
First off I just want to day that I REALLY love this camera...... when it works. There are many factors in whether or not it works smoothly, chiefly among them is how good your WiFi is and what kind of phone you have. Some older phones are just not compatible and you need the app to set it up. The WiFi is key because if you have slower Internet or the doorbell is far from the router, you WILL have connectivity issues that may seem like the whole thing sucks. However, like I said when it works, it works wonderfully! The color night vision and 150° camera angle, means you see a LOT and very clearly. Also good news is that every time the doorbell is pressed it will take about a 30-60 second video that you can view later if you aren't home or don't notice it.
So long story short, product works great if you have good Internet, and newer generation phone.

BrakudI have a fairly new phone and good internet, and the app never made a connection. I tried once with a neighbor's iphone, and that didn't work either. The support didn't manage to help, although I believe they were trying.
My other reason to question what you say is that after I failed to connect it to the internet, it was still working as a regular doorbell, so I just left it there, and less than two years later, it stopped working for that, too.
So I can't recommend this company at all, although what I had was probably not this specific model.
