There’s been prophesy of an affordable pair of inner-ear monitors capable of studio quality, but you stopped waiting for its materialization many moons ago. Maybe you jumped ship to over ear headphones, jimmy-rigged your own imitations, or simply stopped listening to music altogether (okay, we know that didn’t happen). Sound the horns and loose the victory doves, for the Sleek Audio SA7 has arrived.
Upon first inspection, the corner of a triangle doesn’t seem like a perfect fit for your inner ear, but you’d be surprised what a silicone tip can do for comfort. Within that angled frame, a milled aluminum core conceals custom tuned dual armature drivers, delivering more sound quality than almost any device of its size. With the integrated variable equalization tuning, you can customize the output to exactly your preference, giving you total tonal control.
At the base of the buds, rotating coaxial connectors allow you to position the cable however you so choose, freely dangling down your lobe or looped above your ear. The cable itself isn’t exactly built for stress, but it’s easy and inexpensive replacement reduces a slight design flaw into a less than minor inconvenience. Most importantly, however, the sound quality is simply superb, with precise, muscular tones across the entire range.
