This socks are thermal or they will be suitable for hot weather?

I have a pair of these bought from a retailer in Canada. They're superficially nice but I have worn a hole in the heel of mine after only 2 months of walking short distances from my dorm to class. I would not recommend smartwool personally. You'll get much better value and durability out of Darn Tough brand socks.

Have had similar experiences overall. All 3 Smartwool socks I owned wore out on heel and ball of foot fast (3-4 months) for me whereas Darn Tough has so far only had one pair that wore out incredibly fast on ball of foot. I assume that was just a bad pair though as my other pairs are all looking decent after a year of use.

My friend bought these socks, and they are awesome. They don't smell at all after 3-4 days of hiking, beginning to smell after approx 5 days. Just came back from an 80 km hike and wish I had these (would be the only pair I brought instead of 3 pairs that I ended up bringing). i think this is a must buy for anyone looking to cut down on weight/volume.
PS. the price is pretty good too, since they dont typically go on sale...
