I bought these for swapping out the Outemu Blues on my MechanicalEagle Z-77 sold by GranVela on Amazon. DID NOT GO WELL. It was a struggle and I ended up breaking a bunch of switches -_- Save yourself the heartache and buy Outemu Browns (either on Massdrop when they roll around or on Amazon) instead. It was way easier.

foodrightmeowplzSo why not to tell us some details ...
What was the problem with Gaterons? Why do you think that Outemu switches are better? Is the problem related to the mentioned keyboard only?

LibertyI compared the two switches and the pins on the Gaterons are a little longer than the Outemus. So when I tried to plug the Gaterons in, I ended up bending pins or breaking them entirely. With Outemus, plugging in switches just felt smooth. These Gateron switches might work just fine with another keyboard.
I bought a hotswap keyboard when I was new to mech key, hoping I’d be able to replace them with *any* brand (Cherry, Gateron, Kailh, etc) once I figured out what switch I liked best. Now I’m pretty skeptical and will probably just buy a regular keyboard with the switches I like!

foodrightmeowplzThank you, mate.
Libertythe problem is related to the keyboard. It is not a hotswap keyboard in the sense that any switch can be swapped in. It is designed for only outemu switches to be swapped in because it uses little sip sockets that are made specifically for outemu switches (thinner legs).
