Anyone know if the subwoofer output is filtered so that only low frequencies (say < 100Hz) go to the sub?

ralphgonzFrom what people have said here, the subwoofer out does not have a built-in crossover - so no filtered frequencies. That's a shame.

mattrisMost subs allow you to select the crossover frequency ... wouldn't that take care of this shortcoming in the amp sub output?

JGaltOlder subs often depended on the receiver/decoder to provide filtering. But you're right many high quality subwoofers today have built-in (adjustable) crossovers so this would not be an issue for them.
